After the first 2 females we released on 8/2, there was a long hiatus. But FINALLY, the egg-layers are staring to arrive. At least 1, maybe 2 earlier this week, then 2 more today (1 with a broken or lost right hindwing -- couldn't see clearly: somehow she ALWAYS landed with the whole wing towards me -- but she was valiantly flying and laying eggs wherever she could)
Collected 2 4th instars (must have missed this batch) and 12 eggs on Tuesday, of which 1 pupated and 8 have hatched. 3 eggs remained (don't know what happened to the 12th), so collected 9 more eggs and a 2nd instars today. I'll check for more in the morning after I've set up for higher capacity in the nursery area.
