Found my first egg today and only one. Looked on about 20 plants. Heading to another spot later today where I had lots of luck last year.

I live in the same area and usually by now my yard is swarming with monarchs. I think we've seen one. We have many more milkweed plants that we did last year and I don't see any caterpillars at all. It's very depressing! I'm guessing that the wet summer has something to do with it. How will this effect the population next year?
