How long will milkweed last...

Postby ajkmt » Sun Aug 14, 2005 1:30 pm

in a closed container in the fridge? I have 50+ cat to feed into the begining of September. Farmers are staring to cut their fields where we were gathering our milkweed. If I would go pick a few ice cream buckets full would they last in the fridge till Sept?
Thanks, Jo

Already released 7 monarchs, have 30 chrysilis, 67 cats! Best year yet!
May God walk with you today!!

I've learned alot from this site but one of the best things i've learned is put milkweed leaves in a plastic bag (leave it open some) and put it in the frig. I've put them in water and they mold and wilt. The best sucess i've had is the frig. :)
