I have a ton of common milkweed that's taking over my garden. I've have transplanted a lot of plants into pots to give to anyone nearby who'd like to pick it up. I also have seeds for both common and red milkweed (Asclepias incarnata). The seeds are cold stratified and ready to plant. Send me a private email and arrange for pick up. I'm not able to ship plants but will give them to anyone in the area. I could mail seeds, but I'm not sure if I need a license to do so. Does anyone know?
No monarchs here yet. I did see one in Madison, WI last weekend.
There was a black swallowtail in the yard yesterday, but unfortunately I have just planted my dill and golden alexander, so there weren't any host plants for it to lay any eggs on. I told it to come back later in the month!
Looking forward to those first eggs!
