Milkweed Leaves

I am an undergraduate chemistry student and want to perform an experiment using milkweed leaves. How would I get milkweed leaves at this time of year? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

None of the native milkweeds in Oregon will come up out of the ground until late April. And none of the native milkweeds in California will come up until late March. So anyone in Oregon who needs milkweed plants in winter will have to obtain non-native tropical or subtropical varieties like Asclepias currassavica, Asclepias fruticosa or Asclepias physocarpa from a nursery on the central or southern California coast.

Oregon is supposed to have tons of nurseries. I am sure that there are many greenhouses that would be growing both tropical and perennial plants in Oregon now.
