I have sent two private messages today but they are still in my Outbox. I AM logged in but fear that my messages are sitting there waiting for me to do something, click something, in order to get them on their way. What may I be missing?

You're not missing anything...messages will remain in your outbox until they are read by the recipient, then they will move to your sentbox.
