Pupal development

I have raised lots of larva. I had 3 larva go in to pupa 24 hours ago. Now I see wing patterns. Isn`t this a bit early. Help me Mona.

Yes, it is way too early. I'd take some pictures of this one and share with us. You usually can see faint wing patterns, but not heavy wing patterns. Isolate. Watch. Wait.

The earliest that I have heard of them pupating in is 4 days would you believe.

I'm waiting for that white monarch. It can happen, but not very often.
