HCM616 in Northern Virginia

I was out at Meadowlark Gardens in Northern Virginia yesterday playing with a new lens on my camera. I was photographing a monarch, when I noticed the tag - didn't know about this program until then.

Would love to know where this one started - HCM616.

It is likely that someone at the gardens tagged it, maybe even that same day. You'll have to see if the database is updated.

It is probably not going to be updated with this years tags until next year.

Be sure to include your name, where and when you spotted the tag, and the 6-character tag code.

We will update the database as quickly as we can but as psi_chemie mentioned it will probably be a while as we have to receive the datasheets from the tagger and get that information entered first.

I'll check the database periodically...

I did report the sighting to KU, and also sent a photograph.
