"However, JWM has made numerous observations of monarchs ovipositing on swallow-wort (Seutera angustifolia) [Cynanchum angustifolium] in transitional upland habitats adjacent to tidal saltmarsh within the central South Carolina coastal zone."

Very interesting.....so now that i am new to this and this would be the first year I would be tagging.
I am going to need some helpful advice on tagging and what kind of data they need that can help the Monarchs.

One more question, I understnad that you can net monarchs and tag them but you also tag the ones you raise is that correct?

Yes you can tag wild and raised Monarchs. But, it is recommended that you wait 24 hours before you tag raised Monarchs so that their wings are hard enough. On the tagging sheet, there is a column to write in whether the Monarch is wild or reared.
