"Native Plant Center for the Chesapeake Region Now Available Online

Snapsot of the Native Plant Center Chesapeak Region website. A new tool to help citizens in the Chesapeake Bay watershed select native plants is now available on http://www.nativeplantcenter.net
The Native Plant Center uses the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Cheapeake Bay Field Office's
native plant database, associated with its publication, Native Plants for Wildlife Habitat and Conservation Landscaping: Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Using native plants on individual lawns and gardens benefit local wildlife species, including pollinators, and reduces or eliminates the need for
pesticides which wash into local tributaries and ultimately, the Chesapeake Bay. Photo Caption: Snapshot of the Native Plant Center Chesapeake Region website.
