Notice no parts of the butterfly are stuck to the shell of the chrysalis.
If any body parts of your butterfly look like they are stuck to the chrysalis, you should gently grasp the butterfly and pull it free of the chrysalis and then place the butterfly on a rough textured surface like a towel or netting where it can hang and expand it's wings.
You must act pretty quickly because the butterfly will try to expand it's wings within 30 seconds of emerging from the chrysalis and the extremely soft wings will end up deformed if the butterfly cannot hang from something like a towel or netting.
