Eggs on milkweed

Postby laurierountree » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:07 pm

After first sighting of female last week (Maine), I went looking today for eggs or signs of cats and found none. But I did find something and wonder if you can help identify? 29 meticulously laid, creamy white eggs that look like a monarch's were on one leaf. This isn't the way female monarchs lay so what else could it be? I was going to just keep a watch on them but was afraid they'd get eaten and then I would never know so I brought them home. I was able to get a good picture.

i found some laid like that yesterday as well but they are silver. Are those stink bug eggs as well? If so, they are going back outside. LOL!

Don't toss them outside. Dispose of them. They are eating all the plants up.
