Southern Connecticut Sighting - Trumbull

We saw our first monarch of 2011 yesterday afternoon and also found one egg. Milkweed blossoms just began opening this week.

I'm on high alert here now in Wilton CT. Although I have never seen a monarch in June, 1st July is the earliest I've spotted one in the last 3 years I have been a monarch watcher. Hope springs eternal!!
