Zebra swallowtail!

Feeding from my A tuberosa, in Maryland. I've never seen one before.

Aren't they beautiful. I saw in NC that they were have an eruption this year. I hope I see one too soon. My Pawpaw trees are waiting for them.

It kept vibrating its wings while feeding. Not like the sedate monarchs.

They have a short proboscis. Most other swallowtails have long proboscis.
