Spring 2011 Results:
50 caterpillars and 2 eggs collected in April/May.
5 caterpillars were either found injured, sick or dead; 1 appeared to be an injury, the other 4 possibly suffering from NPV or a bacterial infection.
47 caterpillars successfully pupated.
1 chrysalis died due to injury caused by another caterpillar chewing on it while forming.
1 chrysalis died; possible NPV / bacterial infection.
44 adults successfully emerged and released (first on 5/24 and last on 6/3); 1 adult emerged deformed and was euthanized; Genders: Females 22; Males 23.
Preliminary OE Test results: 45 monarchs showing no apparent OE infection.
