What the chrysalides are hanging on is a pie/plate rack. Works great & I can comfortably accomodate about 50 chrysalides. With those that are ready to emerge, I push apart the others to make room, so the newbies are not crowded. If I have numerous on one day, I transfer some to the top handle.
The coloured thread I use is to separate who pupated on any given day. Most emerge on the same day but occassionally I'll have one that is a day early or a day later. Interesting when this happens.
The fabric I use to cover the rack is bridal netting. The same fabric I use to cover my containers.
