1 - How soon after emerging can a female mate,
and
2 - After mating, how soon can a female start laying eggs?

Monarchs will typically begin mating 3-8 days after emergence and females are able to begin laying eggs right after their first mating (they will often mate several times throughout their lives).

Do you know how long a female will continue to lay eggs after mating? Is it over in a matter of hours or does it take days or weeks to lay all of her eggs?
