Thanks to those who helped try to answer our light exposure question - I ended up just taking them out of the dark yesterday (Wed. 11/18/09 around 4pm because we couldn't figure out the exact timing despite reading the protocol) - both sets of our caterpillars in both habitats are looking great - one group of 3 is really fat! We have been discussing the term geotaxic (sp) and general concept of gravity.
We're enjoying the pictures posted so far - loving seeing other kids participation from around the country.
We'd like to learn if there is one particular astronaut or "payload specialist" on the ISS who is taking care of the MIS experiment - anyone know?
