I just found out that you can do a state search for plant species on the USDA website:
http://plants.usda.gov/checklist.htmlPut your plant in. I'm going to search for Asclepias (milkweed) in Virginia.
http://plants.usda.gov/java/stateSearch ... eField.y=8This is what they have for my state. I can click on the highlight names and get more information about that plant.
