But, I have to disagree with the comment about the Monarch caterpillars not eating the flowers. They eat my flowers and milkweed pods. The caterpillars eat the milkweed pods, like a kid eating ice cream.

I've seen my cats do the same. It's interesting how they seem to know they need to leave the stalk so more leaves will grow back! Smart critters!
