and the Belmar Butterfly Project
Hi folks!
We've been raising and releasing monarch butterflies in the space behind the store. We now have permission to fence in the space and do murals on the side of the buildings.
We will work on this project through the fall and complete it in the spring.
On the summer solstice 2008 we will dedicate the garden to Julianne(14) and Emily(12) Hendrickson who lost their lives this summer in a plane crash. Our goal is to honor them by creating the most beautiful place on earth, which will also be home to hundreds of monarch butterflies.
The garden will be open for meditation 6 days a week during business hours. It will be used for poetry readings on every solstice, and for any other community based events.
We need your help!
We're asking folks to come out to help us plant, paint, build etc.
We also need donations, plants, paint, scrap wood, pavers etc. We are encouraging folks to seperate some of their big plants and bring those down too, we have empty containers if you need them.
Any questions, please call my cell 908-433-9782
Hope to see you!
