Sharing milkweed plants

Postby GBMonarch » Sun Jul 15, 2007 10:11 am

I've given away many plants this year to people at work and to my delight they have become Monarch enthusiasts. It's a small step, but it gets other people interested in preserving these lovely creatures.

It's been funny to see people take a plant and state that their kids will love to raise a monarch, only to see them get "bit with the fever". I hear "I don't know who enjoys this more, me or the kids!" over and over. It makes me happy to know that there are more plants all over the city for the Monarchs.

What a wonderful gesture!

I have families in the area who want to know when theykids can come by and see the different stages of development... often times the adults come alone!!!

Keep up the good work

That's great - if you'd like to distribute Monarch Waystation information as well we have a downloadable brochure available at

http://www.monarchwatch.org/waystations/download.html

We're working on a new version of this right now and will have it online just as soon as we can. We (and the monarchs) thank you for your continued support!
