I live in New Zealand. I have some gomphocarpus seed here (giant swan plant) which I would love to swap for syriaca, or sullivantii, or purpurascens seeds.
I am interested also in seed from any varieties of milkweed with big broad leaves which grow from a rhizome or similar and are hardy to frosts and snow.
I am happy to pay for seed if this can be arranged..

I am getting my first really good flowering this season from my purple milkweed, and if I get good seed, I will be happy to share some, no charge. I like it a lot because it is much better behaved than common milkweed -- it forms a nice full clump but does not spread -- and it has gorgeous blossoms. What's more, it seems more attractive to egg-laying females than any other variety I have. Keep in touch, and I will let you know when or if I get seed pods.

I also grow swan plant as an annual, and it always attracts comment.
