Cold here the next few nights

How are the cats affected by cold weather? It to be in the 40's the next few nights.

Hello Jo --

Monarch development is temperature dependent, so they will grow faster when it is warmer/hot and slower when it is cool. They are not freeze tolerant, so they can only withstand freezing temperatures overnight or so, provided they are not wet. Your overnight lows in the 40's will slow the cats and make them lethargic until it warms up more during the day but it won't kill them.
