Milkweed Question

Rather than potting milkweed for my cats, can I cut it and place it in water for them to eat?

Sure, just be sure to wrap the stem with a paper towel or something to keep the caterpillars from falling into the water and drowning. If you haven't raised the milkwed yourself it is a good idea to wash it with soap and water then rinse it well before feeding to your cats.
