Hi does any one have scientific percentage numbers of monarch survival percentage from egg to butterfly in the wild compared to reared ?

Perhaps as low as 1% - that's 99% mortality!

99 percent mortality. Wow.
That explains why all of the eggs and caterpillars I have left outdoors this season are now nowhere to be seen.
My class was SO lucky to have witnessed a Monarch emerging in our garden at school last September.It was like seeing a miracle happen.
