Catepiilar Question

Postby gwenlove » Sat Jan 07, 2006 11:16 am

I have 8 catepillars on my milkweed -- seems awfully early -- 2 are huge -- i broughg them in last night as was in 30's. They gratefully ate in my plastic box the milkweed i brought in. I have put them back out on the plants for the day but is pretty cold (In Florida) today. The 2 large ones kept trying to climb out of box last night so was afraid they were ready to move to next stage in development. When is it to cold for them to survive -- I was thinking about bringing them in for another night...frost maybe...thanks, ideas

If it was me.. I would have brought them in and watched them "change". Otherwise, I'd think nature would take care of them :)
