Can I put same-age cats together?

Postby Mom2RJA » Mon May 28, 2012 12:25 pm

I have a lot of cats in very small jars, one to a jar. I have much bigger jars that are just becoming available as my older cats pupate. I would like to move the ones from the small jars to the larger ones, but I don't have enough to keep them one to a jar. Would it be okay to put two together? I raised up to four in each larger jar already, but those were together from before they hatched. Now I would be putting cats together that have not been housed together at all yet. However they would be cats that hatched the same day and were found in the same location, and none of them have shown any sign of illness.

You'll find lots of info on the forum from different people on different setups. Basically, don't raise too many in a container. Depending on the size of the container you can raise 6 in a container of similar age. When they get larger, they really poop up their containers. Less caterpillars, less poop, less mess.
