Exciting for another year!!

Postby kat_langan » Sun Jun 19, 2011 6:53 pm

Got to a bit of a late start this year. We had a late spring and I didn't end up seeing monarchs until about 2 weeks ago. I have already collected 16 eggs which all but one has hatched :D So excited to be raising this year yet again. Last summer we let go a little over 400 Monarchs!!! Everyday we had a Monarch emerging from Chrysalis. Hopefully with the late start we had this year we will have just has much.

Wow 400 is amazing! Good luck this year.

I think all the wild weather here in the Midwest is affecting the butterflies. I haven't seen too many this week at all here in northeast Wisconsin. Hopefully things will pick up once we're done with all this rain.
