Postby Wyvern » Fri Jun 03, 2011 9:17 am

Spring 2011 Results:

50 caterpillars and 2 eggs collected in April/May.

5 caterpillars were either found injured, sick or dead; 1 appeared to be an injury, the other 4 possibly suffering from NPV or a bacterial infection.

47 caterpillars successfully pupated.

1 chrysalis died due to injury caused by another caterpillar chewing on it while forming.

1 chrysalis died; possible NPV / bacterial infection.

44 adults successfully emerged and released (first on 5/24 and last on 6/3); 1 adult emerged deformed and was euthanized; Genders: Females 22; Males 23.

Preliminary OE Test results: 45 monarchs showing no apparent OE infection.

Where did you find these? I haven't even seen a monarch yet over here in MontCo.
