http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MImjk8_whEThere was a good recommendation on how to move new caterpillars with a q-tip. It is located at 1:06-2:20. I just tried it with my Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillars that were just emerging. It works. And, I was thinking that this is more sanitary because you can dispose of the q-tip after a while and make a new one.

Great resources! Thanks a bunch! I'm going to work on tagging my monarchs in the future now. I haven't done it in the past.
