Restless Monarchs

Postby mflutterby » Mon Sep 27, 2010 3:35 pm

We have 5 that emerged this morning and 1 from yesterday in a habitat. I held off releasing them since it was raining all day and the temp is only 62. I put a fresh cutting of butterfly bush blossom in there for those who might want to eat. They are very restless. I have been keeping the light off. Any other suggestions?

You can cover the container with some thing dark. I use black pastic garbage bags. The total darkness will calm them down.
