Sexy Question

Postby NickiM » Fri Aug 20, 2010 1:22 pm

Could heat or something else possibly influence the sex of butterflies? I'm asking, because all 27 of my chrysalises appear to be male. I got the sex right of my chrysalises last year, so I think I'm correct this year, too. It just seems really strange and sad that they would all be male.

It is supposed to be about 50/50, but it does seem sometimes you get more of one or the other. You know how some families have all boys and some have all girls or a combination.

Don't worry, he'll met a lovely female some day.

But, without boys there'd be no girls and without girls there'd be no boys. :cheesy:
