molding leaf pieces

Postby Seanaldo » Sun Aug 15, 2010 5:43 pm

I had some eggs on pieces of leaf in small glad containers waiting to hatch, but some of them grew mold. Other containers with whole leaves seem just fine. Ideas?

I experienced the same problem with 2 eggs. And yes, they were on pieces of leaf rather than whole leaves. Would also be interested in people's diagnosis of problem, but from this point on, am keeping new eggs on whole leaves in floral tubes to try and keep them fresh.
Thanks for any insights!

I have less problem with mold, when I put the leaf pieces on a plastic lid, put the plastic lid into another container, under the plastic lid, put a damp paper towel. Then put the lid on the container. I'll have to take a picture. Soon. :D

I use Glad containers. I put a few holes in the top with a corn holder so there is some air flow. This helps keep down the mold.
