Possible Solution: Not Finishing Pupation

"I think I also solved the problem that I was having last week with the cats partially pupating. I've had the cats in towers on my dining room table. I have an air-conditioner in my dining room window that wasn't blowing on the cats but probably kept them too cold to fully pupate. I moved the entire operation down into my garage into a chicken-wire cage that I found on Craig's list so that the mice don't get them like last year. I also placed a daylight CFL bulb on top of the cage to simulate daylight and for warmth and so far it seems to be working. The 1st 3 Monarchs emerged in the last 3 days and all are female. Waiting for a boy to mate them, for a 2nd go-round. Bob"
