Can green chrysalides be put on "hold"

Postby David Calhoun » Wed Sep 09, 2009 1:03 pm

I am going away on vacation Sunday for a week. Can I put my green chrysalides in the refrigerator
to arrest development until I get back? How about if one has already changed color (and is likely
to eclose the next day)?

I don't put them into the frig for more than 4 days and that is only if they are green. If they have colored up, then don't put them in the frig at all. Do you have anyone that can pupae sit for you and release them? Right now, they need to get on their way to Mexico. If you are staying in the state of Indiana, you can take them with you in their cage and release later.
