Any other food plant other then Milkweed?

Postby AlexPan » Sat Oct 28, 2006 3:57 pm

Is there any other food plant I can feed to Monarch other then Milkweed? I am located in Canada BC, Burnaby and have no access to any. Will they accept Cherry leafs, Rhododendron or Oak?

Thanks for any of your help :)!

Wow, you mean British Columbia? I don't think monarchs go any further than Oregon. If you don't have native milkweeds than you are out of luck, you can't raise monarchs outside of an experimental setting. They only eat milkweed, except in the final instars they may sometimes eat squash/pumpkin, from what people say.
