At the very bottom I found one of my poor little caterpillars, quite dead.
He appears to be about an instar 4, a good size.
What could have caused his death? Any ideas? I don’t think he drowned because there was no water in the cage, which was my first thought.
However, an earwig ran out one of the cups that hold the milkweeds. Are earwig predators?
