I am wondering if anyone has information about or research on effects (if any) of high voltage power lines and monarchs. Purpose of this is that I'm considering approaching local utility to see if a right-of-way they own could be planted in milkweed as a way station.
If monarchs are adversely affected by electro-magnetic radiation, it won't make sense to consider this area a potential way station.
Does anyone have knowledge of electrical power lines and monarch ranging/nectaring/egg-laying?
Thanks.
Jenny
