I am trying to compare the human eye's response (its particular spectrum) vs. that of a butterfly (and I do understand that this probably varies from species to species). But what I would like is a good response curve for each human and some representative butterfly, over their applicable wavelength (or frequency) ranges. Humans is of course roughly 400-700 nm, and I understand that butterflies see into the near UV to some extent, I am interested in just what their range is.
Here is a link to human response, but I am interested in a curve illustrative of the overall response - just adding these three won't do the trick because each section is normalized, and the curve maxima undoubtedly vary with respect to one another:
Can anyone provide the requested information?
Thanks in advance -
