Photo Line on Monarch Chrysalis

A person visiting from Rhode Island took a great photo of the line on a Monarch chrysalis. I thought the line was straight. Look at the photo. It is in the center. I also thought the line was gold. This line shows gold and silver. These pictures are from my tent and backyard.
