Recent Sightings in Northern Calif. & Western Nevada

Last weekend I visited milkweed growing areas east and southeast of Lake Tahoe as well as west of Sacramento. I found monarchs everywhere I went. Overall I'd say monarchs are about twice as common as they were last year in late June in these areas:
