We spotted a monarch on the Connecticut shoreline in the Lordship district of Stratford on Sunday, November 11! It was a beautiful mild and sunny day. This butterfly survived or avoided superstorm Sandy, but we wished he/she had gotten farther south by now. There are very few flowers left.
We had sighted several monarchs there, and also a couple at Silver Sands in Milford, in mid-October.
