Moderator: Monarch Watch

Just to document, the last monarch we tagged at Waystation 299 in Newport News VA was a freshly emerged [1 or 2 day old by the condition of its wings] monarch found in our Children's Learning Garden as we prepared beds for planting Journey North Tulips. The date was November 3, 2009. It was reluctant to fly, either because of the cool conditions or because if its newly emerged status. It stayed on the Lantana the whole time staff were there and remained as they left.
