Start of the rearing season has begun

The start of the rearing season for tagging has finally begun... about 2 weeks later than last year.

The other day I collected 13 eggs (7 hatched, rest were infertile). Yesterday I collected 26 eggs. Today I collected 44 eggs and 1 first instar caterpillar. Definitely a healthy start to make up for the initial delay. I also found 4 eggs that looked to have had their insides sucked out.. no obvious holes, just an empty shell.
