Waystation #22, Monarch and Eggs, Vienna, Virginia

The park manager, Keith Tomlinson, told me today that a Monarch was
seen in their experimental meadow (Monarch Waystation #22) on
Sunday, April 26 around 3 PM. I surveyed today, April 30 and found
that the common milkweeds are up from around 4 inches to a foot. And,
best of all they have eggs on them. No butterflies flying it was cold
and overcast today.

I'll be starting my butterfly walks there in June at 3 PM (Sundays).
I think it's going to be a good year for Monarchs.
