When Do They Come

I live in Eastern Ontario just south of Ottawa. This is my first year hoping to raise some Monarchs. I have lots of milkweed and even some tropical milkweed. Was looking to buy some butterfly weed but no nurseries have any. When can I expect to find eggs in this region. Thanks.

You can look at sightings to get an idea of Monarchs in your area:

Also, you may have eggs or caterpillars and not even see the Monarch. That happens. They come, they lay and leave.
