We were camping at Neys Provincial Park, on the north shore of Lake Superior, this weekend and saw several Monarchs on Sunday and Monday. We were surprised as there doesn't seem to be any nectar plants around. We did leave some watermelon out but they weren't attracted to it even though one hung around our campsite for awhile. I wonder if they will be flying over Lake Superior? It was very cold and rainy Friday and Saturday and even though our days are warm now the nights are cool. They must be migrating - hopefully.
