Well, it is 6 weeks later than last year, but I have "finally" found eggs on my milkweed !!!

I collected 6 eggs yesterday from the few plants I have on the east side of my property. So far no one has decided to use the abundant crop to the west side.

I can only hope now for an increase, as I have only seen 3 monarchs so far this year.

It seems to be a great year for the Monarchs. I had 12 leave the milkweed plant today. One is in the pupa stage, 3 are in the "J's" and a few seem to be resting. Guess what I am going to be doing tomorrow! Also, today I had two more laying eggs. They were around all afternoon and wonderful to watch. I have them in all stages so I think I need to buy more milkweed. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.
