Found 2 wonderful books on butterflies

Postby texas butterfly » Sun Jun 28, 2009 10:14 pm

Both books have drawings of Monarch butterflies on the front so that I drew my attention to them.

Title: The Family Butterfly Book by Rick Mikula

At the top right corner of book it mentions that Monarch watch will receive 2% of the profits from the sale of the book.

I originally overlooked book, since it seemed that it was targeting families and thought it would be more of a juvenile book. But, I chose to finally open it up and browse it.
I was amazed with the amount of information in this book.

I didn't find this book for sale on Monarch Watch Bookstore.

I also browsed The Life Cycle of a Butterfly by Bobbie Kaman.
This looks like a really informative book also.
Monarch Watch does sale this book.

Anyway, these are the 2 books which I purchased today. Am eager to start reading them.....

Monarch Watch Shop does sell the "Family Butterfly Book" and you are right. I finally told someone after answering numerous questions that this book would have all the answers. Rearing, gardening, crafts, species information. It's a good book for those just getting started with rearing and gardening.

The Last Monarch Butterfly: Conserving the Monarch Butterfly in a Brave New World,by Phil Schappert PhD, has been an inspiration to me. I highly suggest it.
